if you meet something you don't like, you either change it or accept it.
I visited Singapore recently and went to BooksActually (They also have a tumblr! )which is an amazing bookstore! I’d heard about it before I went and kept it for my very last day there. This store was the only thing on my list for that day and I’m glad I did that because I spent SO much time there. Have I told you it’s gorgeous? There’s a sign on the store asking you to please not let out their cats and books stacked everywhere and these lovely posters and fabric hanging with poetry and things on them and a portion of the store in that back dedicated to vintage knick knacks. *_* SO PRETTY.
So, anyway they have a publishing arm attached to the store, Math Paper Press and the kind of books they published got me all fuzzy and excited so I bought a bunch and I’m SO excited to read them (Shhh, I already read a little bit of each in the store.). And the wonderful people who were at the desk (I’m so sorry I don’t know your names!) were super helpful and recommended things when I was looking for a book for my mum. Thank You for that and for taking that picture of my friend and I!
I will probably be talking about these books over the next few weeks. You’ll see all the books I got were published by Math Paper Press except for Love and Misadventure by Lang Leav which I’ve been wanting to buy for SO LONG and YAY!
So, basically, this was a big ol’ checkmark in my quest to visit the cool bookstores of the world!
Sounds like an amazing quest! Thank you for featuring Love & Misadventure in your photographic essay. I can’t wait to visit Books Actually myself! xo Lang
